The Dallas Women Lawyers Association Foundation congratulates New Friends New Life, Hagar’s Heart, Texas A&M University School of Law Civil Rights Clinic, Dallas Urban Debate Alliance, and Gateway of Grace as recipients of the 2024 DWLA Foundation Outreach Grants.
Each year the DWLA Foundation funds charitable grants for organizations that support women in the DFW area and surrounding suburbs whose activities align with the goals of the Foundation.
Congratulations to these amazing non-profits for their outstanding work in the community. Below is a brief summary of how each organization will use their grant:

The clinic supports, empowers, and advises survivors of human trafficking with legal aid by reviewing legal histories, creating action plans, leading cases on behalf of members, and maintaining a Legal Advocacy Fund to help with court fees.
Hagar’s Heart will provide financial assistance to domestic abuse survivors for civil and family court fees.
Texas A&M University School of Law Civil Rights Clinic will receive funding in support of their representation of the Lioness Justice Impacted Women’s Alliance, an organization led by currently and formerly incarcerated girls and women in Texas.
Dallas Urban Debate Alliance will produce student instructional and coach training materials in preparation for their students’ national debate competitions.
Gateway of Grace will support its educational program providing English as a Second Language classes to 150 individuals, mostly women and children.
